¶1The grievance of the petitioners in the present petition is regarding non-payment of arrears of sugarcane price of the petitioners for the crushing season 2021-2022. It has been stated that the petitioners have already made several representations in this regard to the State authorities but no decision has been taken by the State authorities on the different representations made by the petitioners.

¶2It would serve no purpose to keep the petition pending as the grievance of the petitioners can be decided by the respondent no. 2, i.e. the Cane Commissioner, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

¶3In view of the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioners to file a fresh representation before the Cane Commissioner, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh ventilating their grievances and bringing all necessary facts to the notice of the Cane Commissioner, who shall decide the said representation within three months from the date of filing the same and in case, the petitioners are found entitled to the payment of any arrears, the same shall be released in favour of the petitioners within a period of one month from the date of decision by the Cane Commissioner, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
