The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that he is not being paid the requisite amount to which he is entitled to under Rule 12(4) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 read with the Schedule even though the petitioner was a victim of an offence under the S.C. / S.T. Act and a first information report registering Case Crime No. 0397 of 2021 was registered against the accused under Sections 500, 505, 506 and 504 IPC and Section 3(1)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995 at Police Station Navabad, District Jhansi. A charge-sheet has also been filed in the aforesaid case. In this regard, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 3rd August, 2023 before the District Social Welfare Officer, Jhansi who is the appropriate authority to consider the grievance of the petitioner. The District Social Welfare Officer, Jhansi is directed to decide the aforesaid representation within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
