¶1Heard Shri Dharmendra Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Shashank Shekhar Singh, learned counsel for all the respondents.

¶2This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondents to take a decision for admission of the petitioner in B.A. LL.B. course at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh under Special Category Rank CE-25 being ward of serving employee.

¶3Shri Shashank Shekhar Singh, learned counsel appearing for the University submits that father of the petitioner has already filed application before the respondent No.2, Examination Controller, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh on 25.09.2023 and the petitioner is claiming relief on the basis of service status of his father and the claim of the petitioner requires verification at the level of the University-Authorities.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent No. 2 Examination Controller, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh to consider the petitioner's application dated 25.09.2023 in the light of availability of seats and in accordance with law and pass an appropriate order thereon before 15.01.2024.
