¶1The present petition has been filed for a mandamus directing respondent-authorities to provide Gunner/Security to the petitioner on the government expenses.

¶2It has been stated in the petition that the security of the petitioner is threatened because several first information reports have been registered at his instance against criminal minded persons have been offended.

¶3The requirement of security to the petitioner can be considered by the police authorities and, therefore, it would serve no useful purpose to keep the petition pending.

¶4The petition is disposed of with the direction that in case the petitioner makes a representation before the Police Commissioner, Prayagraj, the same shall be decided within a period of three months from the date of filing the representation and necessary action in the accordance with law shall be taken depending upon decision of the Police Commissioner, Prayagraj within next period of one month.
