By means of the instant writ petition the petitioner has challenged the final assessment order dated 20.07.2023. Learned counsel appearing for the Electricity Department states that the petitioner has an efficacious alternative remedy of filing an appeal under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Under such circumstances, we provide that if the petitioner files an appeal under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003 within the next fifteen days then the same shall be decided within the next two months without going into the question of limitation. With these observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. Needless to mention that the appeal would be decided only if the petitioner complies with all the statutory requirements.
