¶1The present petition, filed in public interest, seeks a direction to the respondents to complete the construction work of Panchayat Bhawan of newly created Nagar Panchayat, Mirhachi, Etah within a stipulated time and to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 01.11.2023.

¶2According to the assertions made in the writ petition, initially it seems that there was a move to construct Panchayat Bhawan over Gata No. 290. A tender was also floated for the said purpose. Thereafter, respondent no. 5 has purchased another land of Gata No. 97 for construction of Panchayat Bhawan. The necessary formalities in this behalf has not been initiated so far.

¶3Sri Vimlesh Rai, learned counsel for respondent no. 4 states that the construction work could not be initiated because of dispute relating to title over the land on which the Panchayat Bhawan was to be constructed.

¶4Having regard to the aforesaid facts, we permit the petitioner to approach respondent no. 2 so that the dispute is resolved at this level and the Panchayat Bhawan is built as expeditiously as possible.
