The writ Court on 08.10.2020 while disposing of Writ-C No.15829 of 2020 passed the following order : "Heard the counsel for the petitioner. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a writ of mandamus directing the Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil Dhampur District Bijnor, i.e., respondent no.2 to decide Case No.T201813160301478 (Shanker Singh versus Dilawar Singh and others) filed under Section 24 of the U.P Revenue Code, 2006. The Sub Divisional Officer, Tehsil Dhampur District Bijnor, i.e., respondent no.2 is directed to decide the aforesaid Case No.T201813160301478 within a period of three months from the date a copy of this order is produced before him, in case, there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid revision. It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioner. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of." From perusal of the order it is clear that proceedings under Section 24 of the U.P.Revenue Code, 2006 was to be brought to its logical end. A compliance affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State wherein it has been stated that the proceedings has been finalized by the opposite party on 29.03.2022, a copy of which has been brought on record as Annexure 1 to the said affidavit. As the order of the writ Court has been complied with, the contempt application has rendered infructuous and stands dismissed. Contempt notice stands discharged.
