¶1Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the record.

¶2Present Anticipatory Bail Application has been filed with the prayer to grant anticipatory bail to the applicant in Case Crime No. 363 of 2023, under Sections 3/5A/8 of the Cow Slaughter Act and Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, P.S. Chunar, District Mirzapur.

¶3The police has lodged an FIR under the Cow slaughter Act against unknown persons showing recovery of 8 animals kept in a vehicle in a very cruel manner.

¶4It has been contended by the learned counsel for the applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. Applicant is owner of the vehicle in question and has given his vehicle on rent and he was never involved in the offence in question. He is not named in the FIR.

¶5Learned A.G.A. opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that applicant is having criminal history of one case under the Cow Slaughter Act and he is a repeated offender.

¶6Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and considering the allegations levelled against the applicant and the nature and gravity of the accusation, I find no good ground for grant of bail to the applicant.

¶7Accordingly, the anticipatory bail application is rejected.
