The writ petition has been filed with the prayer to direct the respondent no.2 to pass an appropriate order on the application of the petitioner dated 06.06.2019 for grant of Arms License in favour of the petitioner, within stipulated period. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has own business and agriculture work and his agriculture land is situated 4 to 5 kilometers away from his home, where, he usually go to his farm house in the night, therefore, for safety and security the arms licence is required. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending in view of the order, which the Court proposes to pass hereunder. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed off with a direction to the respondent no.2 i.e. District Magistrate, Budaun to decide the application of the petitioner, pending before him, in accordance with law, after giving opportunities of hearing to the petitioner, by means of a reasoned and speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
