¶1Heard Sri Prathamesh Upadhyay, learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Anoop Tiwari, learned counsel for respondent nos. 1 and 3 and Sri Rajiv Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel.

¶2The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding respondent no.4 to make payment of compensation amount to the petitioners in terms of order dated 25.07.2023 and decide the representation dated 20.10.2023.

¶3It is submitted that the land of the petitioners was acquired by the respondents and they were also issued notice on 31.01.2023 to produce their I.D. and bank account details to facilitate release of the compensation amount. Thereafter by order dated 25.07.2023, it was decided that the petitioners were entitled to ten percent enhanced amount, however, till date the compensation amount has not been paid. The petitioners have represented to the competent authority in this regard on

20.10.2023.

¶4Sri Rajiv Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel states that respondent no.4 will examine the issue.

¶5Accordingly, we dispose of the instant petition with direction to respondent no.4 to release the compensation amount in favour of the petitioners or in case, there is any legal impediment, he shall pass a speaking order within four weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the representation dated 20.10.2023.
