¶1The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to adjust excess lease rent of Rs.46,91,509/-against the demand of additional compensation from the petitioner in respect of re-allocated Plot No.HS-229, Sector Knowledge Park-V, Greater Noida or in the alternative, refund the excess lease rent realised from the petitioner.

¶2Ms. Anjali Upadhya, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Greater Noida Authority, on instructions, states that the Authority is making adjustment of excess lease rent against the demand of additional compensation. She submits that the said exercise will be completed within four weeks and the petitioner thereafter will be duly communicated about the outcome of the said exercise.

¶3Counsel for the petitioner states that in view of the above statement, the cause of action does not survive at this stage.
