Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent. Learned Standing Counsel raises a preliminary objection regarding maintainability of the writ petition and states that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy of appeal as provided against the suspension of fair price shop. On the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner states that liberty may be granted to him to file an appeal and a direction may be issued to decide the same within some stipulated period. In view of above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the appeal is preferred by the petitioner within three weeks from today, the same shall be decided by the appellate court on merit in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment, without raising any objection with regard to limitation.
