¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Devesh Vikram, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

¶2The instant writ petition is preferred with the prayer to command the respondent authorities to provide information sought by the petitioner under Right to Information Act 2005 vide letter dated 24.08.2021.

¶3Shri Devesh Vikram, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel raised an objection regarding maintainability of the writ petition on the ground that the Right to Information Act 2005 is a self contained Act and the information sought by the petitioner by letter dated 24.08.2021 is already provided by the competent authority on 09.11.2021, which is appended as Annexure no.3 to the writ petition and as such, the cause for filing the writ petition no more survives.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances, as the information sought by the petitioner is already provided, we are not inclined to proceed further in the matter. However, the petitioner is at liberty to press the relief before appropriate forum.
