¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri S.C. Upadhyay, learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.

¶2The instant writ petition is preferred with a prayer to command the respondent authorities to take necessary action in pursuance of complaint made by the petitioner dated 06.06.2023 within stipulated period.

¶3Shri Upadhyay, learned Standing Counsel has placed detailed instructions, which is endorsed by the District Magistrate, Kanpur Dehat alongwith four other district level officers indicating therein that cognizance is already taken on the complaint of the petitioner. The preliminary inquiry took place on 04.05.2023 against Gram Pradhan and Village Secretary. Thereafter the financial and administrative power of the Pradhan was also seized vide an order dated 29.09.2023 and the Village Secretary was also placed under suspension. He submits that under the Panchayat Raj Act and Rules, the proceedings are in contemplation and cause for filing the writ petition no more survives as the grievance of the petitioner being a complainant is already entertained and remedial measures is already undertaken.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration. The writ petition is disposed of with direction that the proceeding must be finalized to its logical end expeditiously.
