¶1Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned A.G.A. for the State of U.P./opposite party no.1 and perused the record.

¶2The instant application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. dated 12.09.2023 has been preferred by the applicant with a prayer to quash the charge sheet dated 18.08.2014, cognizance order dated

24.12.2014 and summoning order dated 29.07.2016 passed by learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Maharajganj in Case No. 5609 of 2014 (State Vs. Sajjad and others) arising out of Case Crime No. 761 of 2014, under Sections 147, 452, 323, 504, 506, 427 I.P.C., Police Station Sonauli, District-Maharajganj, pending in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Maharajganj.

¶3Considering the inordinate delay of about nine years in filing the instant application, I do not find any good ground to interfere in the matter.

¶4In view of the above, the application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is, accordingly, dismissed on the ground of laches without entering into the merits of the case.
