¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2This petition has been filed seeking the following relief: " (a) Issue an order or direction, to the concerned Court i.e. 1st Additional Principal Judge, Kanpur Nagar, to decide the Case No.1107 of 2020 ( Ankit Gupta Vs. Smt. Shivani Gupta), under Section 9 of Hindu Marriage Act expeditiously within a time bound period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."

¶3It appears that the petitioner has filed a suit under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act seeking restitution of conjugal rights in which the issues were framed on 27.9.2021.

¶4The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that given the mandate of Section 21-B of the Act, the case is required to be decided expeditiously.

¶5Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.

¶6In view of the aforesaid provisions of the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
