¶1The petitioner has prayed that the impugned assessment order dated 24.1.2022 be set aside. However, in paragraph No.34 of the writ petition, it is stated that the petitioner had no objection to the amount as has been assessed in the final assessment but he is aggrieved by the compounding amount mentioned in the aforesaid order.

¶2If that is the case, the petitioner may pay the assessed amount within one month from today and continue to contest the criminal case. The assessed amount may be accepted by the Electricity Department.
