¶1Heard Shri Rajeev Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioners, Shri Dileep Kumar Kesarwani, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State and Shri Narendra Kumar Giri, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4.

¶2Present petition was filed effectively seeking conduct of early election of the Primary Milk Cooperative Societies (fully described in prayer no. 1).

¶3Today, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel informs that the date of aforesaid elections has been announced by the Election Commission on 23.11.2023. The election process is to begin on

27.12.2023 and it has to be completed by 06.01.2024. Thereafter, election to the Central Cooperative Societies have also been announced. Those would be conducted in the month of January, 2023.

¶4In view of such statement made, cause of action brought by the petitioners does not survive.

¶5Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous in terms of the statement made by Shri Dileep Kumar Kesarwani, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State and Shri Narendra Kumar Giri, learned counsel for the respondent no. 4.
