¶1Heard Shri Rajesh Kumar Dubey, learned counsel for the petitioner, Ms. Subhra Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents and Shri Krishna Kant Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent nos. 6 and 7.

¶2The present writ petition is preferred for a direction commanding the respondents/prescribed authority to correct the date of death of petitioner's husband namely Late Rajveer Prasad Gautam instead of 21.12.2017 as 21.07.2018. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said grievance is pressed in the light of the provisions contained under Section 15 of the Registration of Birth & Death Act, 1969 read with Uttar Pradesh Birth and Death Rules, 2006.

¶3Considering the facts and circumstances, we are not inclined to keep the matter pending consideration. With the consent of counsel for the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of. In case, the petitioner moves an appropriate application before the competent authority within a week's time, we hope and trust that the same may be addressed by the authority concerned strictly in accordance with law expeditiously preferably in further three weeks.
