¶1Heard Shri Deo Prakash Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Subhra Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The present writ petition is preferred for the following reliefs :- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to issue appropriate certificate granting no dues in favour of M/s Gupta Rice Mill upon depositing the entire dues through demand draft amount to Rs.4455015.00/- in favour of Sambhagiya Lekhadhikari (Khadya), Azamgarh with regard to business carried out of hulling paddy of Khareef Session of Financial Year 2011-12.

(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2023."

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner states that, at present, there is no outstanding amount against the petitioner found. He submits submits that he has already moved a detailed representation dated 18.08.2023 before the Regional Food Controller, Azamgarh but till date, the same has not been decided. He is confined his prayer that direction may be issued to the Regional Food Controller, Azamgarh to decide the representation strictly in accordance with law.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration. With the consent of the counsel for the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the second respondent to look into, examine and redress the grievance of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within three weeks from the date of production of the certified copy of this order.
