Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that objections filed under Section 11(2) of the U.P. Imposition of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1960, by the petitioners, in the year 1997 have not been decided till date, thus, a direction may be issued to decide the same within some stipulated period. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Standing Counsel and perused the record. In view of the order proposed to be passed there is no need to call counter affidavit, in terms of the Rules of the Court. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued upon respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the objections of the petitioners and pass final orders, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. Till the final decision is taken in the matter or for the period of three months, whichever is earlier, respondents shall not interfere in the peaceful possession of the petitioners. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. Order Date :- 1.12.2023 Rahul. High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
