Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA for the State. This petition is by the informant stating that his 8 year old son is missing since 2018. Various allegations are made against the private respondents in First Information Report, registered as Case Crime No.293 of 2018, under Section 363 IPC, Police Station Mutthiganj, District Allahabad. It is submitted that investigation is not proceeding as per law. Per contra, learned AGA states that all steps are being taken to conclude the investigation, expeditiously. Since no credible material has been placed on record to doubt the credentials of civil police, we are not inclined to accept the petitioner's prayer for investigation to be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Prayer made in that regard is refused. However, in the facts of the case, we call upon the second respondent to examine the grievance raised by the petitioner and to ensure that all steps, as are warranted in law, are taken and the investigation is concluded, at the earliest possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
