¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Amit Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The instant writ petition has been filed praying for a mandamus directing respondent no. 2 / Commissioner Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur to decide the Case No.00218 of 2018 (Computerized Case No. C201805000000218) (Ramawati Vs. Suryanath) under Section 219 U.P. Land Revenue Anct, 1901, within stipulated period.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that revision filed by the contesting respondent no. 4 against the order passed in the mutation proceeding, is pending for more than 5 years. He further submitted that the petitioner is opposite party in the pending revision. He further placed certified copy of the order-sheet which has been annexed as annexure-4 to the writ petition in order to demonstrate the case is not proceeding expeditiously.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the instant writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 / Commissioner Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur to consider and decide the aforementioned revision in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned.
