The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing District Magistrate, Rampur / Licensing Authority, respondent no. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 22.6.2023 for for extension of Fire Arm License No. 502/II/32 Bore Revolver No. 2002, within specific period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the application for extension of fire Arm License is pending since June 2023 and same may be decided by respondent authority within stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to aforesaid submission. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent-2 to decide application of the petitioner dated 22.6.2023 for for extension of Fire Arm License No. 502/II/32 Bore Revolver No. 2002, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before the concerned authority, in accordance with law, provided there is no other legal impediment.
