The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing respondent no.2 to decide the Appeal No. C202115000001195 of 202 (Harilal Vs. Up-Ziladhikari Sadar), filed under Section 13(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016 within a period stipulated as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the aforesaid appeal of the petitioner is pending since 2021 and same may be decided within the stipulated time. The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the submission made by the counsel for the petitioner. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending in view of the order, which the Court proposes to pass hereunder. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 to decide the Appeal No. C202115000001195 of 202 (Harilal Vs. Up-Ziladhikari Sadar), filed under Section 13(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016 expeditiously, in accordance with law provided there is no other legal impediment.
