We are not inclined to interfere in the present writ petition wherein the writ petition has been filed to quash the first information report registered as case crime no.1987 of 2023, under section 135 of Indian Electricity Act (Amendment) 2003, with the allegations that the petitioner committed theft of electricity. Factual issues raised in the matter are not required to be considered at this stage. The offence otherwise is compoundable. In that view of the matter, leaving it open to the petitioner to pursue appropriate remedies as per law, this petition is consigned to records. Order Date :- 2.12.2023 C.
