Petitioner is aggrieved by notice dated 03.06.2022, issued by respondent no.2 District Magistrate, Bijnor, under section 14A of U.P. Gangster Act and Anti Social Activities (Prevention) Act, which records that properties specified therein have been earned out of money generated from the crime indicated in the act. It is submitted that allegations are wrong and petitioner has already submitted his objection before the respondent no.2 on 11.12.2022. Contention is that though sufficient time has expired but till date the proceedings have not been concluded by the authority concerned. Learned A.G.A. for the State authorities states that in the event final decision has not been taken in the matter so far, the competent authority shall take final decision as per law, expeditiously. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to approach respondent no.2 alongwith certified copy of this order, annexing all material in support of his grievance including the reply submitted by him earlier in response to the notice, within two weeks from today. The concerned authority shall thereafter ensure that proceedings are decided finally in accordance with law, preferably, within a further period of six weeks thereafter.
