¶1The case of the petitioners is that the State respondents are dumping earth on their bhumidhari land for purposes of construction of a road without formal acquisition or payment of compensation. It is urged that the representation filed by the petitioners in this regard dated 3.08.2023 before the second respondent be directed to be decided.

¶2Sri Rajeev Gupta, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel has no objection to the same.

¶3Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on merits, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no.2 to decide the representation by a speaking order within eight weeks from the date of communication of the instant order. In case he comes to the conclusion that any part of the land of the petitioners is required for purposes of construction of road, he will refer the matter to the District Level Committee for deciding compensation amount in terms of Government Order dated 12.05.2016.
