¶1The case of the petitioners is that the respondents took over possession of the land of the petitioners on basis of sale deed executed on 10.01.2018 but paid sale consideration/compensation amount on 8.12.2022 without interest.

¶2It is submitted that the application of the petitioners dated

22.9.2023 for payment of interest has not been considered so far.

¶3Learned counsel for the respondents states that the application will be decided by the competent authority within such time as may be directed by this Court.

¶3Without expressing any opinion of merits, the petition stands disposed of with direction to respondent no.4 to decide the application relating to payment of interest to the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with photocopy of the application dated
