¶1The petitioners are claiming interest on the compensation amount paid to them for acquisition of their land under the provisions of the National Highways Act, 1956. They have moved application dated 6.9.2023 (at page-37) for payment of interest. It is submitted that the said application be directed to be decided.

¶2Learned counsel for the respondents states that there was some competing claim and payment would be made after the litigation in relation thereto comes to end.

¶3Since, the application filed by the petitioners has not been disposed of and therefore, we direct respondent no.4 to pass a speaking order on the application aforesaid dated 6.9.2023 within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of the instant order along with the photocopy of the application dated 6.9.2023.
