¶1This petition has been filed by the petitioners with the prayer to quash the first information report dated 30.8.2023 registered as Case Crime No.285 of 2023 under Sections 498-A, 342, 323, 504 IPC and 3/4 DP Act, 1961, Police Station-Babina, District-Jhansi.

¶2We have perused the first information report, which refers to demand of dowry and ill-treatment to the wife. It has also been alleged that the husband has remarried with someone else and the first information report has been lodged by the parents of theother girl under Sections 363, 366 IPC.

¶3Learned counsel for the petitioners has stated that there exists matrimonial dispute.

¶4We have called upon the parties to get their differences settled by way of mediation, but the petitioners are not agreeable to it.

¶5Since prima facie allegation with regard to commissioning of cognizable offence is disclosed, we decline to interfere in the writ petition, which is, accordingly, dismissed. Order Date :- 4.12.2023 LN Tripathi High Court of Judicature at Allahabad
