This petition has been filed by the informant stating that his fifteen year old girl had gone missing and despite a First Information Report lodged in March, 2023, the investigation has not concluded so far. Progress report has been placed on record, as per which efforts are being made to trace out the missing girl and also apprehend the miscreants responsible for her disappearance. In the facts of the case, we dispose of this petition with a direction upon the second respondent to ensure that all possible steps, as are warranted in law, are taken not only to trace out the missing girl but also to apprehend the miscreants. Such steps shall be taken under the supervision of second respondent and the proceedings of investigation shall be concluded, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months, from the date presentation of a certified copy of this order.
