The present writ petition has been filed with a direction to direct the District Magistrate, Jaunpur/respondent no. 1 to decide the application of petitioner dated 08.09.2023 filed by petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petition has been filed by the petitioner, a permanent resident of Village Karo, Tehsil Mariyahun, district Jaunpur, who has made complaint against the against the licensee of Fair Price Shop holder alleging illegality and irregularity in the distribution of essential commodities. Learned Standing Counsel on the other hand submits that the petitioner has no locus to file such petition, therefore, this petition is not maintainable. In support of his contention, he has relied upon the judgement of this Court in the case of Lakkhi Sonkar vs. State of U.P. and 5 others passed in Writ -C No. 11528 of 2023.
