The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that no decision is being taken by the District Magistrate, Hamirpur on the representation dated 18.10.2023 filed by the petitioner for compensation because of the death of the wife of the petitioner due to snake bite. The claim has been made by the petitioner under the Government Order dated 2.8.2018 read with the office circular dated 8.7.2021 issued by the Additional Chief Secretary. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the District Magistrate, Hamirpur is directed to decide the aforesaid representation within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him and take appropriate action in accordance with law depending on his decision on the representation of the petitioner.
