¶1Heard learned counsel for the parties.

¶2Petitioner who is working as Anganbadi Worker is not receiving honorarium since August 2019. It transpires that on account of the bank account getting updated, document of which has been brought on record as Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, according to which the proceedings to update the bank account has been processed and probably they would be clearing outstanding dues of the anganbadi worker.

¶3It is quite unfortunate that just for technical difficulty in updating the bank account, many anganbadi workers are not being paid their remuneration since, August, 2019. This amounts to taking of work without salary which is not permissible in law under Constitution of India.

¶4This petition stands disposed of with direction to the concerned authority, namely, District Magistrate, Rampur to ensure that on account of technical difficulty, such delay in payment of remuneration is not further caused and payments are cleared within the next 30 days of production of certified copy of this order.
