¶1Heard Shri Ravindra Prakash Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. Uttara Bahuguna, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs :- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 1 to 4 not to take domiciliary visit at the house of the petitioner and also direct not to interfere in the peaceful life of the petitioner.

(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 1 to 4 to provide safety and security to the petitioner."

¶3In pith and substance, the petitioner is asking that his grievance may be decided expeditiously.

¶4No useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending consideration.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and with the consent of counsel for the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of asking the Superintendent of Police concerned to look into, examine and redress the grievance of the petitioner strictly in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably, within three weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, but certainly after giving opportunity to all the stakeholders in the matter.
