¶1The petitioner who claims to be a Member of Gram Panchayat, had made certain complaints against the sitting Gram Pradhan, Rita Devi (respondent no. 6) regarding misuse of public funds.

¶2The prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the representation made by the petitioner in this behalf and to seize financial power of respondent no. 6 and recover public money from her.

¶3Under the U.P. Panchayat Raj (Removal of Pradhans, Up-Pradhans and Members) Enquiry Rules, 1997, a wholesome procedure is prescribed for filing complaint and for enquiry, etc. Therefore, we find no good ground to entertain a public interest litigation in this behalf. It is left open to the petitioner to take recourse to the procedure provided under law.
