¶1The petitioner who claims to be a Member of Gram Panchayat, had made certain complaints against Ex-Gram Pradhan, Sunil Singh (respondent no. 4) regarding misuse of public funds between 2015 and 2020.

¶2The prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to respondent no. 2 to take action on the application of the petitioner dated 20.3.2023 and lodge FIR against respondent no.

¶3Under the U.P. Panchayat Raj (Removal of Pradhans, Up-Pradhans and Members) Enquiry Rules, 1997, a wholesome procedure is prescribed for filing complaints and for enquiry, etc. Moreover, the matter pertains to the period 2015 - 2020. We find no good ground to entertain a public interest litigation in this behalf. It is left open to the petitioner to take recourse to the procedure provided under law.
