This writ petition has been filed with the prayer to quash the First Information Report registered as Case Crime No.156 of 2022, under Section 135-1(a) of Indian Electricity (Amendment) Act 2003, Police Station-Anti Power Theft Police Station Deoria, District-Anti Power Theft Deoria. Since offence itself is required to be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of Indian Electricity Act and the offence is otherwise compoundable, remedy of the petitioner would be to pursue the course available under the Act itself. Leaving it open for the petitioner to purse an appropriate remedy available in terms of provision of Indian Electricity Act, this writ petition is consigned to records.
