¶1The petitioner, aggrieved by the notice dated 19.04.2023, by which the electricity department has demanded Rs. 6,30,414/- has approached this Court.

¶2Learned counsel for the electricity department states that the amount which was being recovered from the petitioner was towards the electricity dues for the electricity which the petitioner has consumed and he submits that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the billing then he may approach the relevant Executive Engineer under Clause 6.5 of the Electricity Code, 2005.

¶3Under such circumstances, if the petitioner approaches the relevant Executive Engineer under Clause 6.5 of the Electricity Code, 2005 within a period of fifteen days, let the representation of the petitioner be decided within the next one month. For the period of two months or till the representation is decided, whichever is earlier, no recovery shall be made from the petitioner.
