¶1Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

¶2This writ petition has been filed for following relief: "I. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner regarding to release the post retiral dues i.e. Dearness Allowance Arrear (132% to 196%) etc. forthwith along with admissible interest."

¶3Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has retired from service on 31.07.2013 and the arrears of dearness allowance has not been paid to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner has moved a representation before respondent no. 3 on 09.10.2023 but no orders have been passed.

¶4Sri Vimlesh Kumar Rai, learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 2 & 3 submitted that the representation may be directed to be decided.

¶5In view of the same, without entering into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 3/Chief Engineer, U.P. Jal Nigam (Urban) 6, Dayanand Marg, Prayagraj to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 09.10.2023 in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned and without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties provided that there is no other legal impediment.
