The writ petition has been filed with a prayer to direct the respondent no.3 to comply with the order dated 12.06.2023 passed by respondent no.2 and conclude the enquiry within stipulated period. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a complaint has been made against the Pradhan of Village Baghedi, Block Pratappur, Tehsil Handia, District Prayagraj, wherein, allegations regarding embezzlement of funds, meant for village development, have been made against the Pradhan. Although by order dated

12.06.2023, the respondent no.2 ie., the District Magistrate has directed the District Supply Officer to conduct a preliminary enquiry but the same has not been concluded till date, therefore, a direction may be issued to the concerned authorities for conclusion of enquiry. Learned Standing Counsel submits that thought the writ petition against Pradhan is not maintainable but seeing the serious allegations as made against the Gram Pradhan, a direction may be issued for conclusion of enquiry. Considering the facts and circumstance of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and with consent of parties, the writ petition is finally disposed off with a direction to the respondent no.3, District Supply Officer, Prayagraj, to conclude the enquiry in compliance of order dated 12.06.2023, in accordance with law, within a period of 20 days, from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.
