Applicant being husband of opposite party no. 2 is aggrieved against the order dated 20.8.2023 passed in Case No. 1505 of 2019 by the Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mathura, whereby interim maintenance of Rs. 2000/- per month under Section 125 Cr.P.C. has been awarded in favour of opposite party no. 2. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is employed as a teacher in a private school and is not questioning the quantum of maintenance awarded in favour of his wife but seeks the limited indulgence of this Court to facilitate the mediation proceedings in order to settle the dispute. Upon considering the sole argument advanced by learned counsel, this Court is not inclined to exercise the inherent powers under Section 482 Cr.P.C., as attempt in this regard can be made before the court of Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mathura where the parties are pursuing their case. Further, it will be convenient for both of the parties to enter into this exercise as it may require more than one sittings. The petition is dismissed.
