Learned counsel for the petitioner only presses his prayer no.2, which is quoted as below:- "(ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the respondent no.2 learned Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh to decide the Appeal No.88/B (Comoputerized Case No.C202315000000406) (Deo Narayan Vs. District Magistrate, Ballia), under Section 18 of Arms Acct, District Ballia Divison Azamgarh pending before him expeditiously within a stipulated period as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court." It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that aforesaid appeal of the petitioner is pending since long and same may be decided within the stipulated time. The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to the prayer made by the counsel for the petitioner. No useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending in view of the order, which the Court proposes to pass hereunder. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the Appeal No.88/B (Comoputerized Case No.C202315000000406), expeditiously, in accordance with law provided there is no other legal impediment.
