The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing District Magistrate, Bareilly/ Licencing Authority, respondent no. 2 to decide the application for mutation of arm licence of DBBL Gun bearing No.C/810016 of the deceased father of the petitioner dated 21.10.2022 within specific period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid application is pending since 21.10.2022 and same may be decided by respondent authority within stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to aforesaid submission. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent-2 to decide the aforesaidapplication dated 20.10.2022 filed by the petitioner for grant of fire arm licence, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months from the date of producing a certified copy of this order before the concerned authority, in accordance with law, provided there is no other legal impediment.
