The present writ petition has been filed for mandamus directing District Magistrate, Sonbhadra/ Licencing Authority, respondent no. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner dated 28.12.2022 (Reference No.33023A187EE22) for grant of fire arm licence Pistol/Revolver within specific period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the application for grant of Arm License is pending since 28.12.2022 and same may be decided by respondent authority within stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court. The learned Standing Counsel has no objection to aforesaid submission. Without entering into the controversy involved in the writ petition, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent-2 to decide application dated 28.12.2022 filed by the petitioner for grant of fire arm licence, expeditiously, in accordance with law, provided there is no other legal impediment.
