The grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that the issue regarding cancellation of his license for fair price shop is still pending before the District Supply Officer, District Gorakhpur, respondent no. 4 even though, the matter had been remanded back by the Joint Commissioner (Food and Civil Supply) Gorakhpur Mandal, Gorakhpur, District Gorakhpur, respondent no. 2 by order dated 07.12.2018, i.e., almost five years back. In view of the aforesaid facts, the District Supply Officer, District Gorakhpur, respondent no.4 is directed to decide the issue of the petitioner regarding cancellation of his license for fair price shop expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date a certified copy of the order is produced before him.
