¶1Heard Sri Karma Singh, holding brief of learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Fuzail Ahmad Ansari, learned counsel for the State-respondents.

¶2The present petition is preferred with a prayer to issue ad an-interim mandamus commanding the respondents not to disturb the personal liberty and life of the petitioner.

¶3The petitioner claims to be major. She has prayed to this Court to provide adequate protection to her life, as the petitioner's father is inclined to settle her marriage against her wishes. At present, she is residing alongwith her sister, who is a tuberculosis patient and for adequate protection, she has already made representation to the Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur.

¶4Learned counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer to the extent that the grievance of the petitioner, as stated in her representation dated 19.10.2023, be addressed by Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances, we are not inclined in keeping the matter pending, hence, with the consent of the parties, the writ petition stands disposed of with direction that the grievance of the petitioner be addressed by Superintendent of Police, Shahjahanpur, in accordance with law.
