This petition has been filed with the prayer to direct the authorities to conduct fair investigation. Records reveal that writ petition was filed by the victim along with the accused claiming that they have solemnized marriage. This petition, however, was dismissed after noticing the fact that victim was 17 years old. Petitioner admits that the victim is now with the father. In the facts of the case, if the petitioner who is the father of victim is not satisfied with the investigation, his remedy would be to approach the Magistrate in terms of Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., particularly as the F.I.R. itself was lodged only in August, 2023.
