¶1Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

¶2This petition has been filed seeking the following relief: "i) direct the court of Principal Judge, Family Court, Ballia to dispose of the Petition U/S 12 Hindu Marriage Act 1955 bearing Case No.767 of 2022 (Ranveer Vs. Priyanka) pending before the same, within stipulated time, so that the justice may be done."

¶3It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petition under Section 12 of the Hindu Marriage Act was filed on 15.11.2022 but despite passage of nearly one year, it has not been decided.

¶4Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 specifically provides that all proceedings under the Act should be held on a day to day basis and effort should be made to conclude the proceedings as far as possible within six months from the date of service of the petition on the respondent.

¶5In view of the aforesaid provisions of the Act, I am of the opinion that no further direction is required.
